We believe that the quality of instruction that you will receive at the capable hands of our world-class guitar teachers is well worth the cost of guitar lessons. You will see a definite difference in your playing within a month's time. We believe in our method so much that we want to offer you an extra thirty minutes of your instructor's time when you sign up for your first  month of lessons at Los Angeles Guitar Academy. Should you, for some reason, not choose to continue after the first lesson, we will gladly refund the entire remainng amount if you cancel within three days of your first lesson.

Ready to try a month of lessons from one of our friendly guitar teachers? First, fill out the Pre-Registration Form, so that we can match you with an instructor that will be a good fit with your background and goals. Next, confirm your lesson times by making a payment with our secure online payment system. Finally, get ready to take your first guitar lesson, where you'll start to make rapid progress on the guitar!

Due to our teachers' tight schedules, we do ask you to confirm any tentatively-scheduled lessons at least 24 hours in advance. We certainly appreciate it!


LAGA Policies and Payments

Regular Lesson Schedules and Prices:

Students may choose from three different weekly lesson schedules. These lessons are held at regularly-scheduled times each week.

Schedule A: Weekly one-hour private guitar lessons with the LAGA Faculty.

Price: $80.00 per hour--$320.00 per month (28 days)*.

Schedule B: Weekly two-hour private guitar lessons with the LAGA Faculty.

Price: $70.00 per hour--$560.00* per month (28 days)*.

Schedule C: Weekly three-hour private guitar lessons with the LAGA Faculty.

Price: $60.00 per hour--$720.00 per month (28 days)*.

Live Webcam Guitar Lessons: Weekly one-hour private guitar lessons with the LAGA Faculty, given on Skype.

Price: $65.00 per hour--$260.00 per month (28 days)*.

Lessons with Teaching Associates: Weekly one-hour lessons with our LAGA Teaching Associates.

Price: $60.00 per hour--$240.00 per month (28 days)*.

Special Programs: Courses in songwriting, composition, music theory, ear training, film scoring, improvisation, and music arranging are available. Please inquire for pricing.

  

Flexible Scheduling Lesson Packages and Prices:

We also have packages for busy professionals which offer flexible scheduling. 

3-Pack: Three (3) one-hour prepaid in-studio lessons with the LAGA Faculty. Flexible scheduling available. Price: $370.00 for one month. Expires after one month.

6-Pack: Six (6) one-hour prepaid in-studio lessons with the LAGA Faculty. Flexible scheduling available. Price: $590.00 for two months. Expires after two months.

12-Pack: Twelve (12) one-hour prepaid in-studio lessons with the LAGA Faculty. Flexible scheduling available. Price: $1080.00 for four months. Expires after four months.

Attendance:

Regular attendance is of the utmost importance so that students can achieve ideal results. LAGA's teaching philosophy advocates consistent attendance, along with regular study and practice at home. Students should take their lesson schedules and practice times very seriously. They should arrive a few minutes early, well-rested and focused.  This will allow time for the student to do his or her warm-up routine--done without a guitar--to get his or her muscles stretched and warmed up in order to decrease their chance of injury.

  

Cancellations and Make-up Lessons:

Cancellations must be made twenty-four hours prior to the lesson. To reschedule a lesson, students notify us using the rescheduling form in their online member's area. The make-up lesson for the canceled lesson must be scheduled on one of the make-up days available for that month. Make-up lessons can be scheduled on webcam or in person, based on availability. It must be taken within one month of the missed lesson.

 

Only one make-up lesson will be allowed for cancellations within a payment cycle (every four weeks). If you will not be able to attend more than one lesson in a cycle, please cancel your subscription before the payment processing day. Cancellation of a subscription will result in the student being placed on the waiting list.

  

Class Materials:

Lesson materials are available on the main page within their online account. Our students download the related materials by logging in with the login information they set up upon registration. 

  

Sickness policy:

If you think you might be contagious, please be courteous (to your teacher AND all the other students) and cancel the lesson. 

  

Locations:

Guitar lessons take place in the teachers' personal studios, located in Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, Van Nuys, and Pasadena. Upon request, and depending on the performance and rehearsal schedule of the instructors, the lessons can be conducted in the students' homes for an additional fee.

Teaching Assistantships:

Based on their interest and experience, our students have the opportunity to become teaching assistants at LAGA. In order to be eligible for a teaching assistantship, students must be at an upper-intermediate to advanced level and have completed the Teaching Assistantship requirements successfully.
